About Us

D.A.W.S Community Gym

 Disability Awareness with Sport

Our mission statement - To create a safe and friendly gym environment for all impaired individuals and clients wishing to contribute to their wellbeing without fear of ridicule, prejudice or phobia and fear of exercise. To be advocates for engaging the local impaired and ill health individuals of the community and surrounding area to become healthier and fitter for their everyday living activities regardless of age, background or financial status.

We are a non-profit community gym that promotes a friendly and social atmosphere which often leads to gym members creating their own social events outside of the gym.

The gym is run by Stephen who is a GP Referral and Level 3/4 local health and disability fitness instructor. Stephen himself is disabled and understands where you may be coming from regarding both physical and mental struggles.
